I've gotten good about culling the stuff that comes in and doesn't need to stay. It's just the stuff that's already HERE that makes me crazy. It's stuff that I used to go through every couple of years, but there was a run of years of not dealing early on and....And then there is stuff I want to use but don't have a place for yet (handmade quilt that will go somewhere the cats can't get to, but is not possible in this apartment.) .

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I have too much crap for sure. And the wrong storage pieces. Meh.
I will say, my building is great for getting rid of stuff - people often put stuff in the lobby, and people take most of it like immediately. I mean, I put a mostly-broken TV/VCR down there, and it was gone in a couple of hours.
Heh. Even immigrant Mexican laborers who were gutting the apartment across the hall didn't want the two TVs I was offering for free.
I don't mean to be prickly about this, Tep, but I just have to add that it does actually depend on the form of ADD and the individual personality. Not everyone with ADD makes glacial progress on projects and such. ( I know you didn't mean to imply it did, but it was beginning to feel like ADD is a complete curse to everyone around, and it can actually be a good thing sometimes, too.) I do totally get the frustration with The Boy, though. I don't think I could deal.
Happy Birthday, Laura!!!
I hate ironing.
I hate ironing.
me too. So I don't. D irons his work shirts. I think he looks hella sexy doing it. But that doesn't make me want to start.
I like ironing!
I fear the shipping cost might be a little much....
I can actually iron quite well, but I can't be bothered to do it most of the time. I even have a sleeveboard, which is a wonderful device!
I think freecycle in new york is more active than other places. Craigslist I have had no luck with. My neighborhood yahoo group has actually become quite a good place for selling larger household things, and then the ocassional city electrnic recycling collections have been good for offloading things.
My nails took awhile, but they do look pretty good.
