Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Happy birthday, Laura!

I hate packing. I hate unpacking. Cleaning up clutter stresses me out. Living in clutter stresses me out too, but clearly it stresses me less than cleaning it. I wish I was msbelle sometimes.

In more trivial matters we have not much in the house for breakfast. I need to do serious shopping today, no matter what random chores--like oh cleaning out the garage--get dropped in my lap today.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Huh -- to me, "composting toilets" sounds cool and earth-friendly. "Humanure" just sounds gross. Possibly because it sounds more....direct.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Happy birthday, Laura!

I like UNpacking. Deciding box by box where everything goes in a new place. Packing? NSM.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Birthday Happies, Laura!!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

A friend of mine does professional decluttering. I'm not sure how much she charges.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I've been thinking of using the 15 minutes a day method of clearing the debris field I call home, but it likely will only last 2 days.

I managed to stick to that for a couple of weeks and got my walk-in closet all put to rights. And donated about $250 worth of clothes that I was able to write off on my taxes. Not bad for what ended up being a total of about 3 hours work. When you think of it in that terms, it gives a lot of incentive to do it.
