I think in MD, you need a buyer's agent. Or at least a legal rep of some sort. It's been a while since I took a homebuying class, but even if not, I totally wouldn't do this without professional.
I just had a lawyer which worked out fine because I found the house myself.
That's funny about that pink house, Sara, I was walking by there with Bob not 1/2 an hour ago and telling him about how it's been on the market forever and about the crazy hoarding (stuff & pets) lady that used to live there. I used to walk Frank up there all the time and I had to cross the street because there were dogs loose in her yard and it stunk to high heaven. I think they were selling it with the intention that whoever bought it would tear the building down but it looks like they've fixed up the house some. I think it's been on the market for like 3 years.
We also walked by the place you posted about on 38th St. and it is teeny. but it is a good street, so.
GOD! I bought mac new underwear and I swear I checked the package a billion time to make sure it was right size and style, but I just went to give them to him and NO! wrong style. %^&%^$%$%^%$%^ Mom Fail.
Phil Plait just posted this audio pareidolia vid that had me laughing so hard the dog thinks I'm crying.
I just started thinking about what will be involved in packing and moving.
You can find me under the couch.
A few tears actually did leak out there, I'm holding them back right now. OMG, that is ridiculous!
Dana needs to see that.
I just realized I have like a month's worth of Ugly Betty sitting on the DVR. Does that mean I should just quit watching it? Somehow that makes me feel bad.
I thnk I have something like 7 unwatched episodes. I think I may give up.
I got my haircut yesterday and chunky highlights! I am a little in shock.
I just started thinking about what will be involved in packing and moving.
A) Start packing up things you don't need as soon as you buy a house. I did a box or two a day for about four weeks and really didn't have too much stress B) Most of the switch overs of utilities and addresses can be done online (at least where I am.) Reduces stress and hassles a kabillion %. C) I don't think I need to say this but hire movers.
I have a cast iron treadle singer sewing machine and am on the third floor. I would hire movers for that alone!
I'm just wondering how much stuff I can get rid of permanently. And how damned many tchotkes and books I have (which will not be gotten rid of.) And then all the stuff on my walls. And how much I hate being packed in any form and that realistically, once I start packing, I will by necessity be packed for a good long while, even after I move. Uhg.
Even though I didn't watch much of the Amazing Race last year, wasn't that the pink goth couple in the auction scene on Bones ?
