Buffy: So how'd she get away with the bad mojo stuff? Anya: Giles sold it to her. Giles: Well, I didn't know it was her. I mean, how could I? If it's any consolation, I may have overcharged her.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Apparently ABC family will be showing both Grease and Grease 2 this weekend.

Because nothing says "family" like the lyrics to "Greased Lightning".

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

My cousin and I watched Grease 2 a ridiculous number of times on HBO back in the day. We also watched Pollyanna on the Disney channel many times that summer. Good times.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Because nothing says "family" like the lyrics to "Greased Lightning".

I would swear I've heard the "pussy wagon" line left in on TV....

Punishingly Intricate

sarameg, I've forwarded you info about that house on 38th! It's just a couple of doors down from my friend's place.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Let's also note the lyrics to "Look at Me, I'm Sandra Dee."

"Keep that pelvis far from me" indeed.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's at least a "family friendly" message!

Edit: that line taken literally, not the song, of course.

brillig

Because nothing says "family" like the lyrics to "Greased Lightning".

It's why I always snicker when the family-friendly theatres get all excited about putting on "Grease".

“Not dead yet!”

Grease was actually really fabulous from that standpoint. When I first saw the movie, I was eleven and I loved the costumes and the fun, fifties-style music and a great deal of the sexual innuendo went straight over my head. Four years later, I was in the show and was like, "Who the HELL let me go see this when I was eleven?"

Gotta love the perspectives.

lisah, you are a trip. Actually, the ones I posted were all pretty much ones not really on the list (like the one with the scaryass bathroom and kitchen on Falls. No way would I want to live right on that street. And that poor house had been abused and neglected.)
