I do occasionally think about having a random hotel stay as a kind of mini vacation -- a clean room I didn't have to clean myself! And etc.
Me too! I'm considering staying here on Monday night at my own expense, it's $169 a night, which apparently is just about the cheapest you can do in Burbank right now and still be in a hotel and not a motel. This is the place: [link] But that's a little pricier than I want it to be, considering my other upcoming expenses. But it is really nice, and I haven't spent enough time here because I had all kinds of random obligations to deal with for friends.
I feel guilty about my cats. I've been going over every day and hanging out with them for a couple of hours, and they seem fine, but it's really chilly over there, and April keeps snuggling with the heater, apparently in hopes that it will turn itself back on. I could bring them over here, but I'm really kind of hesitant about having to cat wrangle them back into their carrying case and cleaning up a temp litter box before work when I have to check out.
Hey, in fairness, I was trying to turn Mona around. All the other dogs were in the circle, sitting next to their owners...and my dog was the only one sitting backwards.
Isn't it enough that she obey? You want her to conform, too?
Mona's trying to watch your back. (Or she's just different...)
Just watched a NOVA thing on why we love our pets. Do not watch if you are a sap. I'm going to have puffy eyes tomorrow because of Jerry.
In a similar vein, MK had one of his barfing episodes (he does this time to time. I don't get too upset unless it happens daily.) Anyways Loki is wired up and went to jump him, then stopped and just gently washed his head and lay down next to him. Which makes me feel like I've got an extra barometer for MK, and that's good. As soon as MK had recovered (he usually goes to eat after if it isn't serious) there was wrassling.
My former supervisor friended me on facebook. Due to the fact that a friend from work is friends with she and her husband socially. Now, she was an AWSOME supervisor in that we gave the same amount of shit about the paperwork and hoops. I like her a lot and do see her socially too. But still. I wish I could figure out if there is a way to post statuses specific to groups of friends. Because I might just want whine about work (have deleted previous,) and if she's there, I need to be careful.
I have filed my taxes. Since my refund was minimal, the H&R Block fees were about half of what I'm getting back, but somehow I still think it was worth it. So much easier to do it with the clicking! (Especially now that I've learned how to handle a check-box with no reliable left mouse button...)
I am so confused by this article. [link] So there was a teaching assistant strike, and Hillel was part of a group of student organizations trying to impeach the student government because the student government supported the strike. Which then led to student who supported the strike shouting anti-Zionist stuff and calling them racist. I feel like there are some missing pieces of this story.
OOOOOOOH! Alibelle! I am sorry you are in a hotel, but I would love love love to stay there. Plus you can walk across the street to Starbucks. That place is FANCY.
why is kaufman, a 16 theater theater, only giving me three movie listing for there? losers.
Because they hate you! Or because they are only showing three movies on all 16 screens.
I'm catching up on Grey's. Huh.

Someone probably forgot to export all the showtimes but you might try going at it from a different movie website, sometimes (for example) Fandango is messed up but Movietickets dot com is good.
