Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

As a contrast, one of the abstinence-only programs: [link] I actually found this part triggering:

“The young girl learning to understand her changing body often has no idea the effect it has on surrounding males. Signals she doesn't even know she is sending can cause big problems.”(Why kNOw?, 6th grade, p. 17)

So many things wrong in just two sentences.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Blergh. It's raining again, and 280 was already flooded this morning, which means the drive home is going to be just FUN.

My coworker is on Jeopardy, for anyone watching right now. Diane.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

We're pretty excited about that bill at my job...

Hivemind:

Presidents' Day, Presidents Day, or President's Day? I keep getting emails with President's Day and that seems wrong.

ETA: Oxford comma!

I would say Presidents, with Presidents' as a second choice. President's is definitely wrong.

So I've been thinking a lot about my coworker who is out for a couple months for back surgery (3 bulging disks removed and a metal plate put it.) Even more so today as I had a sharp pain in my spine .

Imagine my relief and mirth when I get home and discover the source of the pain was a stupid cystic zit. Nerves are weird.

Diane won! $21,000!

Yay Diane! That's a great amount of money to win, I think (I put anything between $10K and $100K in this category, pretty much). It's enough that you could splurge on something, make some debt payments, but not enough to be really life-changing and weird.

Our wings are not tired.

Woo! Go Diane!
