And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I just saw that, ita. It crashed outside of Buffalo, and according to the news I'm reading, they're still putting out the fire. Just horrible.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I have a cat on my lap...well, on my leg.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, that plane crash sounds horrifying -- not only did all the people on the plane die, so did one of the people in the house it crashed into.

In lighter and more amusing news, I just got this from a coworker:

FYI…

Tick Warning!!!!
I hate it when people forward bogus warnings, and I have even done it myself a couple times unintentionally... but this one is real, and it's important. So please send this warning to everyone on your e- mail list. If someone comes to your front door saying they are checking for ticks due to the warm weather and asks you to take your clothes off and dance around with your arms up, DO NOT DO IT!! THIS IS A SCAM!! They only want to see you naked. I wish I'd gotten this yesterday. I feel so stupid.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Wow- they said on the local news that everyone got out of the house OK. Of course, I swear they also said it crashed "on the Thruway", which doesn't seem possible if it hit a house!

“Not dead yet!”

Ah, jeez. One of the victims on the flight was a 9/11 widow whose husband had worked at WTC. She was on her way to a celebration at his old high school for what would have been his 58th birthday.

Librarian Warlord

I am twitchy to see the list of people on that Buffalo flight, just to make sure I don't know anyone.

I woke up at 5 today, let the dog out, made her breakfast, made my breakfast, made my lunch, made her lunch, started challah in the breadmaker, put chicken & 40 pieces of garlic in the crockpot . . . and now people here at work seem to expect me to do something. People! I've done lots of stuff today (just not for you)!

Huh. I am only reporting what I heard on my local news, so...
