OMG, I have only been at work for an hour and I can't wait to get home.

Also, via Facebook I found out my sister in law was in town yesterday. I am glad she didn't call, because my house is at DefCon 4 level of messiness. But now we're having freezing rain and I am worried she is going to be stuck in town and she will call me tonight. I haven't done dishes since Sunday, and there is crap everywhere, and she keeps her house incredibly clean.

Then her being iced-in will give her something to do.

We are getting mac a new brace today and the trip takes us through neighborhoods with lots of detached houses and I am stuck in my fantasy of splitting a house up for several friends.

We had so much wind last night it interrupted my sleep several times -- and I fully blame it for my freaky freaky dreams. Like the one where I went to pet my cat and her skin was peeling, and then my babysitter (?) decided to put her out of her misery (white-font for the squeamish) and cooked her. And I remember saying, why her? Why not the other cat, the one that only exists in the dream? I can't shake that one. So, of course, I decided to share it. You're welcome.

Depressing recession news of the day: Dubai's in trouble. Dubai. Of course, you can't really say they've got growing unemployment, because the people losing their jobs are foreigners, who then have to leave the country.

Yep, people are driving to the airport, and abandoning their cars there, because they lost their jobs and can't afford the payments anymore, and they might go to jail for defaulting on their debt.

ION, I got up early this morning, so that I could do my laundry and then get into work in time for a 9:00 conference call. I was one of three people who dialed in, and the call lasted less then five minutes.
