Anya: We should drop a piano on her. It always works for that creepy cartoon rabbit when he's running from that nice man with the speech impediment. Giles: Yes, or perhaps we could paint a convincing fake tunnel on the side of a mountain.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I need groceries mega badly, but I'm struck with the same sloth-bug.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I need groceries and to do laundry.

Oh well.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

And I have to stop by the office and do laundry myself. Oh well.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have to do laundry as well.

How was the test, Scrappy?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Still on train, 2.5 hrs behind sched. In Cumberland MD. Couldn't get signal until now.

tommyrot just texted -- he's not getting a good signal so he asked me to pass on the latest: the train's 2+ hours behind schedule but at least they didn't have to shuffle people onto a bus.

D'oh!

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Finally found mention of a recent train derailment: [link]

Looks like Hyndman PA is about 15 miles north of Cumberland MD.

I was watching BSG and missed chance to take pictures of derailed train. They managed to get one set of tracks cleared. Then we had to wait for freight train with enginet rouble stuck on the one good set of tracks.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

The test was long and difficult. Really glad I studied hard for it. I feel pretty good about the two multiple choice deals, but one test is four short essays and the other has two long literary anaysis essays, and those are the ones I think I did badly on. One had a truly lovely Gary Soto poem to analyze, so that was a pleasure as a reader if not as an essayist. I find out how I did in a month. The test took five hours and I was writing or filling in little circles for the entire time. I iz tired.

I have to wait a week to see if the English Internship is funded. If not, I start cramming to take the Science tests. The sad thing is that with this shitty economy the State may not fund any Internships this year, so I may end up literally sadder-but-wiser at the end of all this.
