"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

My dry cleaner has the clothes done by late afternoon if I bring them in by 9 a.m and by about 2 p.m. the next day if I bring them in after that. They clean inhouse, though. I've never had any trouble with things like hemming and minor alterations through the dry cleaner.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I have to ask, megan, do you really have a cookbook called Cooking with Trader Joes? Because I may need it too given how much I shop there.

I also need a cookbook or some kind of starting-off point to get me to use my new crock pot. Now that I have one, I am unsure what to do with it.

Also? Car is with the mechanic and outside is wet. I think I am stuck at home for today.

Yes, thanks Teppy--am contemplating between yours, the one that looks like a desklamp, and one from another site. Trying to decide which would be more easily [and *properly*] used.

Yes, my friend S gave it to me for Christmas for just that reason. I must say it was so nice to have a cookbook tailored to where I shop. All ingredients can be purchased at TJs. I'm thinking of making the Saag Paneer Lasagna for my Oscar dinner.

I also need a cookbook or some kind of starting-off point to get me to use my new crock pot. Now that I have one, I am unsure what to do with it.

I also just got a slow-cooker for Christmas. The recipes from the recipe booklet that came with it have actually turned out good. I got a bunch of cookbooks out of the library and so far the best I've found are the 2 volumes of Gourmet Slow Cooker. This one [link] also looks good, but I haven't made anything from it yet.

I just got the info on where our ex-exchange student lives outside of Melbourne. I think he is not in an affected area, but am searching for an email to verify. It is so out of control.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good lord -- my minion has been making long distance calls from her work phone, when we have to put in code that leads back to me. I'm not that excited about her making personal calls anyway (but of course, the only difference between that and me right now is that I sound like I'm typing and she sounds like she's chatting), but long distance? I told her that her friend can call her, or she can use her cell phone, but seriously.

Kids these days.

ouch. although, I make ld calls, but we don't type in codes.

ION - someone at work in my dept, that I have to work with on solving a problem, is being more of a hinderance than a help. Keeps bringing up unrelated stuff, hashing old grievances. I do not care, just find me the answers to my issues!

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

About 12 years ago, the department I was an admin to had a young lawyer with a brand-new JD who was supposed to be writing up laws and regs, but instead, she was on the phone at least 7 hours out of 8. Every single time I'd pass her cubicle, she was chatting away. It took them nearly 18 months before they finally canned her for excessive phone use, including long-distance calls.
