That was weird.
I read accounts of the fire that destroyed Mount Stromlo, from people who lived through it. Fire season is terrifying. I lived through one the summer I was in Flagstaff. Watched slurry bombers work at the edge of town from Lowell's crypt.
Every time we get big fires around here, even if they're not close, it's like the apocalypse. It's one of the things I love about living here.

I found that fire more frightening than yesterday's. My family is in Canberra. It's not a big place.
Oy, my brownies were completey undercooked, which I didn't realize until I had let them (and consequently, the oven) cool down. Annoying!
Yikes to it all, billytea.
Work took up both a monetary and paper (extra copies of journals, research materials, etc) collection when it happened. The field is small and incestuous, so we all knew someone who knew someone who worked there at some point.
I want to take aerial arts classes. Annoyingly, they're located in West Hollywood and one class is $40. However, if you bring a friend it's $10 off, so that works out to $35 each, I suppose. Who's with me? You learn trapeze and tissu. I really really want to learn tissu, despite totally sucking at rope climbing. And trapeze just looks like painful fun.

You made me want ziti, brownies, steak, and muffins.
Instead I am eating garlic bread, and it's quite delicious too.
Not my fault, missy.
I had sushi today. It was yum.
Now I want nuthin' but sushi.
