Aw, Brenda, poor pup. Yeah, I know, GC. But that ep made me really glad that Rachel was out there. But that makes the part of Keith's commentary where he says he has no friends who are gay odd. But I suppose it would be weirder if he had the headline guys put "Rachel Didn't Make Me Write This, Even Though I Have A Crush On Her, Like Most Of Blue America" underneath him while he Commented.

My aunt was so proud that she'd remembered to buy some food that wasn't beef so that I could eat it.
She bought VEAL.
Oh well.
Oh, Brenda, I'm so sorry.

Interesting article in the Times Magazine this week about a pastor at a church in Seattle. The article kind of half focuses on his style and half on his theology. His style -- swearing, tattoos, a "hyper-masculine" Jesus, indie rock, and so on. His theology -- Calvinism. Fire and brimstone, predestination, and all that. [link]
Theo - that sounds like some of my family.
SO just had an interesting call with my mom where she was saying how she found everything so frustrating on this last visit up here. like mac still having tantrums, she said "two years just seems like an awfully long time". And the place they went to eat dinner playing spanish language tv, it made her furious "I just think in public they should use English, they chose to come here. If I moved to Colombia or Spain, I would learn Spanish." I have no place to put my WTF feelings about those statements. It makes me wonder if them moving up here at any point is really going to make sense - I know they won't ever live in my neighborhood, but I think it just epitomizes how stuck in their ways they are and how things unlike their little world completely set them off.
It's ice pelleting out. Very noisy. Glad I got my cat food/litter run in earlier. I don't expect surfaces to get that bad, just the drivers.
Man, I don't get Calvinism at all.
Ugh, msbelle. That sounds like a difficult conversation.

He's a sexist tool who is running a cult. I kind of pray for a massive scandal to pull his ass down, because he's begging for a fall.
DylanW wrote a cool post about him on the Seattle Metro blog a while back. [link] and a follow up later [link]
