I should probably be paying. However, I'd like it noted that M requested that I pay in cash and not report--she considers herself and independent contractor and wants to report her own income for tax purposes. Pretty sure she does this to keep her kids on Medicaid and I'm not one to question her needs.

How hard can it be to figure out that someone hasn't been paying taxes on something they are shelling out @$125,000 a year on?
ETA: Although I have more of an issue with the head of the treasury/not paying taxes issue myself.
