My BiL took some pictures of the Londond Snowpocalypse. It looks pretty snowy, but nothing a few snowplows and a truckload of salt couldn't fix:

Poll: Republicans Want Party To Be Like Palin
Huh.
A new Rasmussen poll further demonstrates that the GOP could be in for a long stretch in the wilderness: A majority of GOP voters now say that the party should be more like Sarah Palin.
The numbers: 55% of Republicans say the party should be like Palin, compared to 24% who say they should be like John McCain.
As I've previously noted, poll data like this could indicate that the Republican Party is getting ready to relive the classic cycle of ruling parties who get turned out of power in a landslide: With the party base itself shrunk down, the people who are still around are the most hard-line members, and are really the least fit people to fix the situation.
I was listening to BBC 1 this morning. I thought they'd gotten at least a foot of snow.
And I'd say DC's major snowstorm rate is more like one every two or three years. But your definition of "major snowstorm" may vary.
I'd be really curious if Palin and McCain were the only two choices. Because I can see people going for, you know, "alive" based on that choice.
I know! I thought it was Snowcapalypse: London - but really - not so much.
I don't think they'd even call a parking ban for that little snow around here.

Well, it's all relative. I mean, if it's 5 times as much snow as they've seen in almost two decades, it's going to be a big deal no matter what the actual amount.
True fact.

Yeah--I wonder if Colin Powell or someone like him was an option.
I just realized I should really get over myself, work-wise, because at least I'm not in a jackass meeting all day today and most of tomorrow like the management is.

Policy-wise I really don't know what that means. All I really know is that she's against gay rights, is pro-life, and is pro-drilling in ANWAR. She talks about government getting out of the way, but what does that mean in terms of policy? She's all about generalities.
