“Not dead yet!”

I'm rooting for the Cardinals because I lived in Cleveland for too many years to ever root for the Steelers.

ETA: I will admit to a soft spot for Big Ben. I don't know why either. It's a mystery.

Art Crawl!!!

My cat - he's just being incredibly annoying and knocked the photograph I was given of my friend's son wearing the sweater I made him off the dining room table AGAIN.

Also, he spit up in my bedroom just as I was getting ready to block lace.

And now he's sitting on my keyboard and just butt erased the entire second half of this sentence.

I've got puppy bowl on and am trying to feel enthusiastic about going to the grocery store.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I'm rooting for the puppies on Animal Planet.

Today is one of the few days I *really* miss having cable.

Also? I had no idea who was playing in the Super Bowl until I read the past 50 comments.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I just had to introduce my sister to Snopes. They really should teach people about Snopes before they give them an Internet license.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Well, I got less than steller news from the doctor about my blood sugar. which was not a surprise, but I have three months to bring in the right direction. ( or more meds). This is my long way of saying I have to go for a walk before I turn on the puppy bowl.

I feel like be lazy, not active. bah. but I just saw a scary number .

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I'm rooting for the Cardinals because I lived in Cleveland for too many years to ever root for the Steelers.

Hee! Barb is me. The Steelers are the enemy. I even rooted against the Steelers when my team didn't freaking exist. (Thanks, Art!) But my former pastor in Kansas is a huge Pittsburgh fan, so I anticipate a phone call at some point during this day.

Furthermore, I am happy to say I'm perfectly capable of being a fair-weather, jump on the bandwagon Cards fan. It was fun picking up the bratwurst at the supermarket today. Everyone was going nuts and buying meat. Not necessarily in that order. But really, there is a lot of meat that's going to be consumed in Arizona today.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I saw somewhere this week (Tom Colicchio's Top Chef blog?) that Super Bowl Sunday is the second biggest day for food consumption in the US, after Thanksgiving.

Art Crawl!!!

I saw that too. . . probably on Top Chef.

So, would all the Super Bowl food be uniquely American? (Mixing discussion threads.)

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Nearly all the best... well, at least most popular, junk foods originate in the New World, with the standout exception of pretzels -- consider just corn, tomatos, hot peppers and chocolate and everything that derives from them.

Which reminds me, I have several unopened bags of Snapea Crisps downstairs.... mmmmmh!
