My maybe-sorta date flaked on me tonight, so I boiled tortelini and am settling down for a last evening with SGA. At least I'll be able to grouse in real time.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I got stuck at work later than I wanted, but since it wasn't snowing yet, I clomped into the night to pick up some booze and some random groceries. Yay, booze! Yay, foods!

My fatal mistake after getting home was crawling into bed to finish reading The Graveyard Book. Now I don't wanna get back up.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Wrod.

I'm making a grocery list. I'm tempted to revamp my pantry.

On the bright side, I have a 10 o'clock massage appointment.

I'm happy to say that, according to that list, I have a Bittman-approved pantry except for canned beans and TJs stock, which I don't plan on giving up anytime soon.

I do miss getting fresh spices from Sahadi's. Cheap and very fresh. I haven't found any place here that compares.

I am going to print that list out and use it for when I move. Gotta start fresh!

“Not dead yet!”

Cutting back on food is good in theory, but in practice leaves one rather grumpy.

However, for a nifty snack, anyone with access to decent cheese shops/gourmet groceries, chevre with cranberry and cinnamon is surprisingly good. [link]

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Hey Perkins-is it too late to meet you at Kabul????!

Ah, man. I was already on the way home from the sushi place when you posted that. Maybe another day this weekend?
