The Most Ticketed Cars on the Road
ISO Quality Planning, a company specializing in helping insurance companies identify risk, has compiled a list of the most heavily ticketed vehicles on the road, and lead feet everywhere can check it out.
The group analyzed traffic data on 1.7 million drivers and established the probability of a driver of a given line of vehicles being ticketed. The Hummer and Scion tC dominated the list, receiving 463% and 460% over the average, respectively. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the Jaguar XJ sedan and the Chevrolet Suburban attracted a mere 11% and 16% of expected tickets. Given that both the Hummer and the Jaguar are high-cost vehicles, it flips the idea that a huge price tag automatically means more police attention.
but really. It's been a year.
More like four years. I think you reach a point where the people who are waiting until the last couple of weeks are the same people who would wait until the last couple of weeks in June.
And then there are those like me who are dithering on replacing the tv or getting a box, oh and if you didn't have a coupon already, tough because they're out of money.
Most of the lobbying for and against the DTV delay have been wireless companies who bought the rights the 900Mhz spectrum, and their competitors who want to block them from getting the spectrum.
I don't think the actual TV companies care much at this point.
More like four years.
This. Time to pull the plug!
I think you reach a point where the people who are waiting until the last couple of weeks are the same people who would wait until the last couple of weeks in June.
And the people who don't get it won't benefit from extra time either.
I wish people would stop sending pictures of people in flip flops to barefoot.provocateuse.com. What part of barefoot gets confusing? And it's not like there's displayed precedent.
On TV shows (non-reality) do they often mike the actors with a mike pack? I swear I'm suddenly noticing bulky bundles on actors and I don't know why it's getting aired. Am I not supposed to care? Because I do care. Like in my definition of barefoot, I demand purity.
I am dithering, like sara. I am sort of expecting a huge price drop in TV's in the next couple of years, so I may just get along without a TV until that happens, since I appear to be too lazy to get the box!
I wish people would stop sending pictures of people in flip flops to barefoot.provocateuse.com.
I can imagine people thinking, "OK, this person is barefoot, except for the floppy things on the bottom of his feet."
Those people are wrong, but I can still imagine why they think that way.
Of course I could be wrong, and maybe they think that way because of some alien symbiote in their brains....
I also read that a significant percentage of the people who haven't gotten a box yet don't plan on watching any broadcast TV after the cutover, and just plan on watching DVDs and stuff that's online.
