Limited profiles, people!! I put my sister on one because she would never comment on anything, and then would interrogate me about things I had posted on Facebook much later. It was highly irritating.
What's a limited profile? I've got my prefs for privacy all adjusted, but I haven't seen anything that allows you to actually have a tier for people once they've been friended. If you can, please to share?
I think I remember seeing that as an option when you first accept a friend request.
Hmmm...I'll have to check that out.
You know what is shocking to me? My
parents
got cable. They, who have not even had rabbit ears in a decade.
Of course, it is because they wanted better internet than dialup and cable was the way to go in their neighborhood. But still.
Launderating. And then I need to run out to the bank and deposit a check.
I took the initiative a week ago and friended the one high school friend I was interested in keeping in touch with that I thought would be on Facebook, then three days later another high school person I had very little interest in keeping in touch with (even before I noticed the BIG DRAMA in her life) friended me, and now I'm just thinking ugh about the whole thing.
I've had a recent flurry of people I know from grade school friending me. The amazing thing to me is how new the idea of social networking is to so many of them. Where they been all these years? the other amazing thing is how many of them lead ridiculously boring, closed lives. Know what I mean? Just, twenty years of living in a very small bubble, with no contact with the outside world, or any awareness of it.
I keep getting friend requests from people I don't know--some are friends of people I'm not close to, and others are people with whom I have no contacts in common. I don't use the site anymore.
english muffin: I ended taking 3 10s, Steph. Staggered by about an hour and a half. I still woke up early and startled, but waking up is a good thing.
Hi, peeps! What's up? I facebook sometimes.
Right now, though, I'm at work literally watching paint dry. This is life on the edge.
Maybe I should go update my facebook status...
Hi Alibelle!
I should be preparing a lesson plan for Tuesday. I need to teach about exponential growth and decay. Instead, I'm randomly surfing the internet. Found a series of manga Midrash texts for kids. [link] Looks way more interesting than the textbooks I had in Hebrew school.
