And I myself will be wearing pink taffeta as chenille would not go with my complexion.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I learned that Dad had been transferred to a skilled nursing facility and told the staff to specifically NOT call his family, because he didn't want to bother us.

HMOG. Parents, man. I am glad you located him, "bother" or no!

I am encouraged that President Obama is taking swift action on the kinds of things he does have control over, because so much other stuff is so much bigger than an executive order, you know?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Do you suppose there are signs on the motorways announcing "You are now entering Titty Ho"?

Because I am apparently even more twelve than the NYT, I want them to make a poster-sized version of the map of all the oh-so-twelve place names.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Sigh. I'm less than an hour in to the work day, and I'm pretty sure today's going to be just as stupid as yesterday was.

That is nifty, Steph.

That is nifty, Steph.

I'm massively DISinclined to hearts-and-flowers schmoop, so this one pleases me big time.

t edit Although it DOES have a heart on the front. That's okay, because the coolness factor outweighs it by a gazillion.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

OMG. I'm listening to yesterday's Dave Ramsey podcast and a woman just called in worried that with "the new administration" there will be universal health care and her physician husband's income will be "greatly affected", so, even though they have no debt besides their 15-year fixed mortgage, should they get radical and pay off their house early instead of saving for retirement and other things? I was pleasantly surprised to hear Ramsey be rational about this and talk her down.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

What a cool-ass card! I also like the dancing robot one. Great stuff.
