Several Californians had posts, but the state kept them.

I'm in California and I could have a post, but it would just be whining about the aftereffects of this morning's procedure.
I think my refund last year from CA was less than $100, so it's not so urgent for me.
I was going to make a Schwarzenegger / terminator joke, but I'm too tired to think of any.
ION, I just rented a car to go to Madison for my youngest son's 6th birthday. Damn, he's gonna be six! (And the oldest will soon be 11!) They grow up so fast, especially when you don't see them every day....
I think I deserve a medal for not ripping the head off of an ex-colleague when she commented on my Facebook posting of the pending Gitmo closure:
Bring the terrorists to US soil. Fantastic plan. Cany we give them each access to a Wii and some comfy slippers? Mabye a warm mug of Peets coffee?
I responded with:
I don't believe that abiding by the Geneva convention and our own Constitution is the equivalent of handing a Wii and a cup of Peets to terrorists...And I should add that I lost a cousin on 9/11 in the attack on the Pentagon. I seek justice. But I don't forget what the first four letters of "justice" is.
But what I really wanted to say was:
You're kind of a bitch. Were you like this when we worked together 7 years ago and I just didn't know it?

There are a bunch of right-wing commentators who are saying stuff like this (which is pro'lly where your ex-colleague got this idea from). As if the only two ways to treat suspected terrorists is to let them live in luxury or torture them.
I bit back a snarky reply to her myself, but figured since it was your facebook page it was probably best to let you set the tone.
Not that I'm for pampering treatment of convicted terrorists, but I'd like them to be convicted by an actual legitimate court sans kangaroo courtesy of W.
I'm sure that the response you went with is more likely to hit home in the long run. It's harder to change a mind if you're getting their backs up.

Yegsactly! And I won't even get into the "how in the hell do we know they're terrorists anyway??!!" part of it!

Mine's not much more, but I already factored it into my budget, not thinking the state would decide it could just keep it.
