Because books.

I did not know that Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa were together. They were both with other people last time I knew.

They make a gorgeous couple, that's for sure. With ... a lot of hair. I bet the kid is beautiful.

I've always loved her, for reasons that are unclear to me. Him, he's just yummy.

Wow, yeah, that's what I was thinking.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Not too sure who the one who voted for Blago is. Someone here at work mentioned his name--it was one that no one recognized, and we all deal with legislative members all the time.

Speaking of Chicago events, Bike the Drive is going to be on May 24th this year for any Chicagoistas in possession of a bicycle. That's something I've always thought would be pretty cool to participate in.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

From Chicago Tribune:

The lone holdout in the Illinois House of Representatives' 114-1 vote to impeach Gov. Rod Blagojevich was Rep. Milton Patterson, a Chicago Democrat from the Southwest Side whose office is on West 63rd Street.

After the vote, he said he didn't feel it was his job to vote to impeach the governor. Asked whether he thought Blagojevich has been a good governor, he said, "I have no comment on that." Asked his vote should be taken as a defense of the governor, he said, "I'm not defending anybody."

Patterson said he wasn't comfortable with voting "yes" on impeachment: "I think the committee did an excellent job in the report, it was just there was not enough for me to feel comfortable with a decision to do that. ... I did not feel comfortable voting based upon what I heard and read, simple as that."

Asked whether he expected a backlash from his constituents, Patterson said, "I have no idea."

"I read the report," he said. "If the government is going to indict him, let them go ahead and do that. ... That's their job and I'm doing my job."

Asked whether he believed the evidence, he said, "I went by my own gut feeling, as simple as that, sir, that's all I can say."

Well, little Wolf-Boy is their second child - so they've been together for a while. (Their daughter is 20 months old.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I did not know that Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa were together.

I didn't either! Huh.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

This is very strange: The Recently Deflowered Girl

I found this book on my friend's 84-year-old landlord's bookshelf. Published in 1965 with illustrations by Edward Gorey, I present to you The Recently Deflowered Girl.

Worksafe, unless your place of work frowns on you reading stuff with "deflowered" in the title....

Another blog sez:

The Recently Deflowered Girl is a 1965 etiquette book for those awkward moments you hadn’t planned for, written by Edward Gorey under the name Hyacinthe Phyppe, an expert in such matters. In each “deflowerment” situation, the proper thing to do apparently is to provide a witty comeback. The entire scanned book is online with Gorey illustrations.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

so they've been together for a while.

well let's see, what was the show Jason was on before Atlantis? That would have been the last time I was looking for photos of him and there were many with him and a redhead, I think.
