I'm a vision of hotliness, and how weird is that? Mystical comas. You know, if you can stand the horror of a higher power hijacking your mind and body so that it can give birth to itself, I really recommend 'em.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I'm pretty sure that it's this sectional: [link]

Jon Swift reviews Bush's accomplishments: [link]

My favorites:

  • There are more than 10,000 cities in the United States and because of George Bush every single one of them, except for New Orleans, is still largely intact.
  • Because of easy credit during the Bush years, more people had the opportunity to buy the homes of their dreams and live in them for a few years before they had to give them back.
  • He was able to stave off defeat in Iraq and at the same time keep just enough troops in Afghanistan to prevent the Taliban from completely retaking the entire country.
  • For the last five years not a single undercover CIA agent has been outted.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

With the talk of the invocation yesterday, I thought this was interesting: [link] It's a list of who said prayers at each Presidential inauguration. It looks like the tradition from Truman through Nixon, revived for Reagan's second inauguration, was to have five or six prayers -- generally one Catholic, one Jewish, one some sort of Protestant, one Greek Orthodox, and one or two more.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Aw, juliana, thanks, but I'm much more tempted to beg to come along with you! I'm so sorry about the Death Flu.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I want so many of the sofas at Funky Sofa.

Actually, I just want a new sofa.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I want a sofa. It should be bright red and have an attached cat bed, perhaps built into an arm rest.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

If you like mission-style, you might want to check out The barn [link] We got our couch there and it is comfy.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I want a sofa. It should be bright red and have an attached cat bed, perhaps built into an arm rest.

You know, I have a comfy bright red sofa with arms wide enough to hold a good sized cat just taking up space in my spare room. Just sayin'.

My year-end mad rush to get Insurance claims in just became over $2K in checks in my mail. BOOYA! And hopefully I'll get the insurance papers submitted by Friday to my FSA people and zero that baby out.

information libertarian

The sofa we bought for $900 - a 93 inch, pretty traditional roll-arm 3-cushion style - was retail $2100, I think. I saw a chair we bought for $400 for sale for $1100 in a fancy boutique in Atlanta recently. I think you'd be looking at $2000+ for sofas at Mitchell Gold, though in this economy and sales environment there may be deals.
