Punishingly Intricate

This course will enable students to implement the theory and application of effective treatment of overweight and obesity, including nutrition, physical activity, and medical and behavioral modification, in a variety of settings with a variety of client-specific needs.

Shouldn't it be "overweight and obese patients" ?

Our wings are not tired.

Random mememe. I dated a twin in high school. Karl, his twin was Kenny. They were both awesome dancers. The 4 of us would go to dances every Friday night but Kenny's GF and I would end up standing aside and watching them go nuts together on the dance floor. Good times. Haven't thought about Karl in years. His mother taught me to crochet.

Yeah, you can't really treat overweight. Maybe weight related issues?

eta: sentence revised nicely above, but really I never saw overweight used that way

No- that is how they say it.

See the CDC [link]

I agree it sounds awful, but the professor would have my head on a platter!

Also, I am considered "morbidly obese" and I highly resent working on this class, which I basically think is a crock of shit-- so the whole thing makes me cranky!

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I love this BMI illustrated

That's fascinating (and disturbing). The BMI system never made any sense to me. I'm on the very upper end of overweight, close to being obese - I find this ridiculous. I'd probably feel healthier if I were ten pounds lighter, but I don't believe it's all that drastic. From the doctors' reactions, you'd think I was about to drop dead.
