I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I think this photo is one of my favorite non-Obama photos from yesterday. I think it's the combo of the National Reserve soldiers and Roker looking forward and determined (or maybe cold), and the Native soldier in full regalia under his uniform coat. But all of the expressions seem to be saying, "Damn right, bitches!" Or something.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Did people see on NBC/MSNBC coverage that Obama yelled to Roker from the Parade route. The first President to acknowledge him yelling for a comment in 12 years. He was excited, and laughing.

Yeah, I saw that. And he told Al "It's warm!"

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

And so it begins. Emanuel: Put down the regulations and back away slowly.

Also: Not so fast, kangaroo courts.

It looks like a picture for an updated A-Team or something.

I have really enjoyed seeing everyone in full formal regalia. I get so tired of seeing military people in those camo things. Bring on the sexy dress uniforms!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aw, little Barry looks so much like Sasha! [link]

not only that brenda - pay freeze to top White House staff, increasing rules on WH staff post-employment at WH. ALl good stuff.

AND a pic of Obama without a jacket on in the Oval Office. There was a "Jackets Required" rule for the Oval Office in W's 8 years. No more.

Is meeting the president normal in WH tours?

Definitely not. I remember when I was a kid, my Uncle, who was directory of photography at U.S. News and World Report, got us all tickets for a VIP WH tour. We got there and found this huge line, so my Uncle went up to somebody and asked where the VIP tour is. Turns out that huge line was the VIP tour.
