“Not dead yet!”

It's really amusing catching up on the political talk and various brouhahas while listening to the Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack.

Brings up some really interesting mental images.

Also? Split pea soup has aged nicely.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Ok, found it...

As a US Permanent Resident for over 35 years I and my family are required to stay never more than 6 months outside the US if I am to qualify for Naturalization. In my career as an international banker and with my overseas family and other obligations this requirement has resulted in endless disruption in my life and has cost me hundreds of thousands to ferry everyone back and forth countless times, to and from the land of the free.

I'll check the list, but I don't think "free to live anywhere and turn into an American" was on it.

Maybe its his tone that annoyed me?

Blago was just impeached by the State House by a count of 114-1. His case now goes to the State Senate for trial.

I just got out of a two-hour stint in the dentist's chair, with a return visit scheduled for the end of March (when I get my first crown put in to replace a humongous old filling). Today's appointment was supposed to just be a cleaning, but due to a few snow-related cancellations, they had time to replace two old silver amalgam fillings. Luckily, insurance covered all but $200, but I'm not looking forward to how much that crown is going to be.

I also got scolded by the hygenist for not flossing--she gave me a very stern "this is what will happen if you don't!" lecture that scared the bejeebus out of me, so I'm starting tonight.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Blago was just impeached by the State House by a count of 114-1.

I wonder what the 1's rational was.

Do we know if that's a girl Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha or a boy Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha? Because my high school had both.
