Buffy: So how'd she get away with the bad mojo stuff? Anya: Giles sold it to her. Giles: Well, I didn't know it was her. I mean, how could I? If it's any consolation, I may have overcharged her.

brillig

OK, I'd laugh at it everytime I looked at it, but that's a damned cool piece of furniture. Hey, put tiny little drawers in something, and I love it.

FUCK.

My car is being serviced as you all are typing. One of the parts didn't come in a (axle boot, so a sort of important part) and the other part (something to do with the gear cables) won't be in until Tuesday. I am supposed to pick up my car tomorrow AM (whatev) and then bring it back in for the transmission job. I want assurance that driving it in the meantime won't kill ME or the car.

And, FWIW, it'd be nice to have a car that will go into reverse, is all I'm saying.

In other news, the hateful shoes have been returned.

And Grace's vent has been DC'd so she is now vent free!

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I inadvertently helped paint Cancer in a bad light today by making a suggestion to the new ED that New ED thought Cancer should have come up with. Oops.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Ugh on the car, Kat, but YAY for Grace.

Double Ugh, in that case.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

And Grace's vent has been DC'd so she is now vent free!

Oh, wonderful!

(But not about the fever. Give your mom a break, Grace!)

I spent all day at Spa Castle with my sister. It was glorious. I may have to move there.

Oh wow! That's great about Grace ventless, Kat.

The mechanic should offer you a loaner.

Going back to earlier, this weekend I will: clean, put in the last a/c with Ben's help, clean, organize, have blinds installed, shop for all the stuff I haven't gotten yet, eta: clean out car, clean car, figure out LT parking at Dulles, pick up parents at BWI airport, flail, get parents settled, CALL QATAR AIR, call various utilities for early bills, shop some moreOMGTRIP.

And the big caveat is that she is ventless now. So if something goes badly or if she struggles, she'll go back on.

So it's a victory, but a qualified one.
