After 30 minutes of hold, I don't have the information that will be needed, but I can do this monday or tuesday once I have the passports in front of me.

I think we are having people over for dinner Saturday -- so 3 weeks of cleaning to catch up on.
I like my job, but I kind of hate the people I work for.
My boss just informed me on Wednesday that I'm being given a journal that's somewhat wacky in the way that it runs, and I take it over on ... Monday. Neither the departing editor, who promised me details, nor my boss have given me any information about this thing. ZERO info. What the hell do they expect me to do? Frankly, I think both of them assumed the other would do the transition, and as usual didn't communicate. I also suspect that my boss actually doesn't know any of the stuff she needs to be imparting to me. Duck. Shot.
Happy late birthday, sara!
Happy Birthday, Sox!
Happy early birthday, Dillo.
And happy early birthday to my sweet (occasionally exasperating boy) Nate, who turns thirteen tomorrow! Eek!
Duck. Shot.
polar-bearin' duck shot!
I'm feeling tired (I guess from the blood donation), and not at all in the mood for an hour on the train to go to Brooklyn. But I want to see my friend! Crap. I guess the train ride will be additional resting....
Woot! My dad may have a strong lead on a new old job. He must have gotten five emails/phonecalls from friends and former colleagues telling him about a tech writer position, and they're all raving about how they still use his manuals and he already knows the job and the tools, and the cranky person who was denying him re-entry is now gone.
My mother and brother will be so happy to see him employed again. Apparently he's driving them bonkers floundering around the house, being noodgy and pinching pennies tighter than usual (he was a Scrooge even when gainfully employed).
Happy birthday Sox!
It's nice to hear good news on the employment front, Juliebird.
OK, my friend just called to confirm because her other friend bailed. I'll go, I'll go!
