Now we're saving a vampire from vampires. I got two words for that -- Nuh and uh.

Green curry chicken has been accomplished! I was sweating while I ate it and my tongue is still a little numb. Almost hot enough.

information libertarian

Watching A Capitol Fourth on PBS. For two whole songs I was under the impression that the singer was Rod Stewart and he'd had terrible plastic surgery. Turns out it was Barry Manilow. Not sure who this reflects most badly on - possibly me.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I love the looks on the kids faces at Capitol Fourth as the watch the Sesame Street characters. There were a few toddlers there who just looked absolutely stunned at seeing them outside of the TV.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Here's the problem with the Sesame Street medley - "I love trash" and "C is for Cookie" are no longer part of the show's repertoire. The parents are singing along, and the kids are all confused that someone other than Elmo is doing anything.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Woot!

Right??

I can't tell if people in my neighborhood are setting off fireworks, or if I'm hearing the big ones. I'm also hearing kids yelling, so I'm guessing it's the former, since there is no way you could see anything from here...

Unless I'm mistaken, the fireworks in my neighborhood are being set off in a vacant lot right next to a gas station, which strikes me as being not a terribly good idea.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm not sure where they're being set off in my neighborhood. The alley? Rooftops?

“Not dead yet!”

Boston Pops Fourth has Craig Ferguson hosting and Neil Diamond.

Sounds like it's already several steps above the Capital Fourth.

"We're goin' t'celebrate by makin' lots of noise and blowin' stuff up."

heh.

Was noisy here for a bit. I bet if I got on my top roof, I'd see the downtown fireworks, given the number of folks with rooftop decks I saw out.

Loki lept up to knead the down throw MK was sleeping on. Didn't even bug MK. MK is now washing him within an inch of his life and the kitten is complacent, if not catatonic, with very clean ears.
