Well, look who just popped open a fresh can of venom.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

pretty kitty!

My cat is currently complaining that he is not outside, which is too bad. It is almost more fun to torture him by meowing back.

we are waiting for matt's pants to dry so we can go to our party

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think Zombie!Jilli looked appropriately rough and tumble. Which isn't something I ever thought I'd be saying about our Jilli.

Serena Williams needs to be fit for a new sports bra. Trinny and Susannah would have a cow about how hiked up it is in back.

While I'm on the topic and still avoiding wimbledon.org until I've finished watching the ladies final, does anyone know--at 6 all in the final set do they get one challenge back each like in previous sets, or do they get reset to three challenges each? I could have sworn I heard an umpire say "reset" recently.

Zombie!Jilli = most recent two entries in my LJ. [link]

I am STILL washing random smudges of stage blood off of me, which is crazy because I took a shower as soon as I got home.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Awww, cute zombie!

Um, sorry, but it's true.

That's fine. I've decided that being a cute cartoon character works in my favor for when Clovis and I finally rule the world. Everyone will be too busy cooing over us to offer opposition.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Zombies can use technology!

Heh. I mean, argh! Run away!

ION, my kitty and I are conduction an experiment: is my lap big enough for both my kitty and my 17" MacBook Pro?

There is a chance I have the most spoiled cat on b.org....

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Ugh, only two of the melons were ripe enough to make a passable soup, and I knocked the paring knife off the butcher block and onto my foot. Yes, I was barefoot. I guess I'm thankful that it hit me longwise and not point down.

Sarlaac pillow

Flickr user scrumptiousdelight created this Sarlaac monster in pillow form for Stitch Wars, a Star Wars crafting show. Note all the little details, like the Boba Fett helmet on one of the tentacles.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

I went on a grocery run late this morning, and as I was leaving the store I passed their "special event" table offering pulled-pork sandwiches for $1. I gave in to temptation and got one, paying with a President series dollar coin. The server seemed never to have seen one before.

"Hmmmm? Oh, is this a dollar?"

"Yes."

"Really? Oh, I guess it's like a Susan B. Anthony dollar!"

I just smiled and walked on. Now I'm wondering -- if I had pointed out that the portrait was of Andrew Jackson, could I have persuaded her it was worth $20.00?
