Whoops! That did read like I puked blood--no, I don't need that sympathy. Retching only. The blood was from the IV I removed from my foot. The IV I'd been waiting over an hour for them to remove so I could come home and take my meds and stop gagging.

I am filled with gronk. Which needs to stop, because I really should work on a short story that is due in, oh, three days. Eeek!

I went to a Zombie Walk last night, and stayed to watch Shaun of the Dead at the outdoor movies. It was a lot of fun! But why is it that even when I'm trying to look like a menacing, shambling mess, the comment I get from passers-by is "Ohh, cute!"?

Have you ever been in a cafe or restaurant, and had the urge to scream at another customer, "Jesus Christ, would you please stop farting!"

I haven't. Until now.

Hee! I was cracking open some cat food to feed Nunya, who tends to show up at 4pm on the dot for her dinner, and to my surprise, my neighbors cat SoCo comes from underneath the dining table and zeroes in on the cat dish. Picked her up and smooshed her and I don't think she realized I was a stranger til I went to put her down outside.

Finished painting the blue-green and spray painting the registers (heat-resistant "copper"), even got behind the washer and dryer. Not looking forward to painting all the trim (don't mention the ceilings to me!).

Now to mince mint.

Whatever the source of the blood, that sounds like a whole lot of no good, ita. Ugh.

Jilli, there is no getting away from the perky. But you did look great.

I made it out of the house, at least for a bit. Went for a medium-sized walk, finished my book, came back to the hood for groceries and got my nails done.

The route of the Zombie Walk took us past many restaurants with patio seating, so all of us zombies had fun swarming the railings and menacing the diners. I was lunging at a table of guys, and one of them said "Dude! CUTE zombie!" At which point the pet DJ pulled me back from the railing and growled at them.
