It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Why are you defending yourself when you got into an eating contest WITH AN ELEPHANT?

“Not dead yet!”

Speaking of insect bites, I managed to find the one ant in the entire pool complex earlier today and the little bastard bit me right on top of my toe.

Annoying.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Things I do not miss about the south -- ants that bite.

I'm watching Whale Wars. There's a commercial for a show about someone with a worm eating his brain. I did not need to see that.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I usually watch Animal Planet at some point during the day, and I am so sick of those commercials. They actually make me switch away.

I hate the feet bites. Especially on calluses. God, those are insane.

I have a Loki story. When the bed delivery guys came, he freaked the fuck out. I was terrified he was going to run out the door and they kept leaving it open, but he ran to the kitchen. Then I heard a clatter and he wasn't on the counter any more. I went looking for him while they were still here, but no luck. I started looking in the bushes and getting a little frantic. They left and I got more frantic. I was up and down the block, calling. I go back inside and think to look in the cabinets. He was under the sink. He'd opened the cabinet and pulled it shut behind him.

Good to know he won't bolt outside. But god, I was panicked. I should have shut them all in a bedroom.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Point taken, bon. Of course, the whole "contest" was for pikers -- the real deal is tomorrow.

Whale Wars is pretty much the only thing I watch on Animal Planet, so this was the first time I saw this one. It was ... startling.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Seriously what person is going to argue that they are more badass at eating than an elephant. Moron.

Mac has decided that I use the word tacky too much. I think I need to use it more and raise his standards of acceptable behavior, clothing, speech, and decorative tastes.

Alternate it with kitchy, silly, ridic and nu-uh.

So glad you had a good day. Also, my first floor smells yummy, which is a nice change after a bag of garbage sat too long.

I don't know if it is the separating recyclables out, or that I have no garbage disposal (eta: my parents sent me a HDespot gift card to spend with their help when they are here. I may use part of it to get a GD and Dad to install it. He'll like it!) and have to dump the trap into the trash, or the salads, or the no a/c in the kitchen and thus higher humidity, or all of the above but it used to be, I took the trash out once a week. Now, every couple of days. I don't need the big trash can. I don't need the big bags. I need to relegate that one to the basement and get a small covered one for the kitchen.

I kinda like seeing how much I can recycle.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Why can't I have energy like this first thing in the morning?! Took me a bit to get going, but eventually I got around to installing the new blinds (grabbed Nigel to cut down some pieces to fit better)(they're a skosh crooked but they're up), painted most of the bedroom (have to wait for the one wall to dry before I shove all the furniture to the other side of the room), painted most of the living room (same deal), got groceries for tomorrows cookout (had to hit three grocery stores before I found fresh mint), dishes, laundry, painted the outlet covers and installed them. Now I want to go out and spray paint my mailbox and vacuum and put up the coat hooks and all the curtain rods and a billion other things.

Also, it's terribly odd that Nigel and Wendy have two cats that, at a distance, look almost identical to mine. They keep freaking out whenever they see mine galloping around the yard thinking they're cats have gotten out.

Someone snacked on my begonias that were in a pot on the side table on the patio. Groundhog or really tall bunny?
