Amon has started to be very loveable just as I leave for work. He'll flop over and beg for a belly rub and mrrp at me. This morning he followed me out through the cat door with his favorite little fluffy ball in his mouth, which he proceeded to bat around the porch. This is his signal that he wants to play fetch with me, so he gave me his best "You don't love me" look as I got in the car to drive away. As Hubby says, quoting Lisa Simpson, "Too Siamese."

I do not know how you pet owners do it, nor why. Same with you parents. In fact, that goes for all you people who know people. What's up with that?
People with pets live longer (on average) than people without. See, cats and dogs are breeding us to be pet lovers!
Kids, OTOH, are OK. Some of the time.
