I think Loki has discovered the glory that is a/c. Normally he's down here all evening and he wasn't, so I went looking. Found him splayed on his back on the foot of the bed in front of the a/c. It's not even terribly hot (78 downstairs.) He wasn't inclined to be disturbed from his belly-cooling.

Also, my arms are so tired from yoga that typing is almost too much. I was trying to read Infinite Jest and it was too heavy.

Right? I'm annoyed when I *can't.* The only flaw is my deep desire for instant gratification, which means that ordering stuff online means I have to wait, which turns me into an impatient 3-year-old.
It's stuff like calling people about doors when I know fuckall about what I need to bring to the table and going in person to get blinds and mattresses. I mean, there is some stuff you gotta do in person, but I just don't like to have to interact. Good news is shortly after complaining, I discovered the locksmith I used also replaces doors, and at the very least, you can make the estimate request online. They still have to come out and all, but at least less phone tag.
I really need to call my cousin and see if he can come down for a few weeks in the fall to just do shit.

Back still hurts and I don't think it will be any better by morning, ugh. Ice, heat, minimal stretching cuz it hurts too much, anti-inflammatories, calcium with D. Still no bueno.
We have a new Sensei at the dojo. Until recently, all our instructors have been females, which is pretty awesome when you think about it, but the new one is a guy. A young 20-something guy. A very handsome, fit, 20-something guy. He was wearing a black tank top and long shorts when he left the dojo today. Oy, perving on my Sensei is not cool.
there is something "barking" in the neighborhood that I first thought were a woman screaming. It's not a yippy dog, it's something I've never heard before, and the cats are growling. Coyote? Fox?
