I find myself utterly charmed by the commercials for AdoptUSKids.org-- they're using a character from Ice Age 2 who adopts three dinosaur eggs and when he's introducing himself to the babies, is listing all his motherly attributes. The caption screen reinforces this by reading "He's a mommy."
It really is cute.
Here it is:
Top Gun is on TV. This is a ridiculous movie, but I love it.
I'm reaffirming my decision to make my cats indoor cats. Bad enough if vermin get in, I get gifts. No need for free range.
I got insane and installed my bedroom a/c. I had one scary moment. And lots of bruises. And one visit to the basement to flip a circuit. I think I may have the electrician back for dedicated lines....
Also? Go Hil!

Val Kilmer and Rick Rossovich were Very Pretty.
I am currently fascinated by Walmart's advertising vs. their PR. The other day, my coworker was telling me that they have all of this new cute stuff, really cheap. Then I noticed that their clothes are all over this month's Oprah magazine. But their TV ads are still all about paying less for groceries and whatnot.
Why is my fruit yoghurt so damned sweet? I need to pace myself with water.
I tend to buy fruit on the bottom yogurt and then don't mix. I don't get the too sweet thing either.
I usually have yogurt at lunch, and I buy big containers of plain yogurt and put some of it in a little container with frozen fruit and a little bit of sugar the night before, and then the fruit has thawed by the time I eat it.
That's why I like Fage-- the Greek yogurt is a bit tarter and if you get it with fruit, it's on the side, so you can moderate.
AUGH-- Sudafed strikes again.
