Reavers ain't men. Or they forgot how to be. Now they're just nothing. They got out to the edge of the galaxy, to that place of nothing, and that's what they became.

BBQ Back Bacon Burger w/ Swiss and Buttermilk Onion Rings

Mmmmm, sounds good. I've been craving fried oysters all week, m'self, which isn't one of my usual things.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just spent way too much time looking for a dinner suggestion for tonight, after my friend suggested a place that could not have been more inconvenient and still been on the island of Manhattan.

I am especially fond of the saga of exporting a cat named She Devil from the Ukraine.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I was a wee late this morning. Could not get to sleep last night which is no good - only 7 hours of sleep. Still, I feel more like myself this morning. Hopefully the weekend won't take too much out of me and I'll be back up to 100% on Monday.

hip deep in pie

I had a friend whose parents tried to bring a cat back home with them from Saudi Arabia. They had to go to the passport office and get the cat photographed for his Visa. When they realized that the visa would cost them $3K, they ended up finding a new home for their cat with another ex-pat family.

Art Crawl!!!

We're having the snow now1

3-5" today and another 2-4" tonight.

However, I think my town is on the outside edge of the storm and we didn't get much snow last night.

I had to open the other (main office) so am only now getting settled in at my own desk.

Been feeling ooky all week. Not sick enough to be sick but not actually well.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I just made it to work. More snow. We're supposed to get a total of 8". Whatever. We've had so much snow so far I just don't care anymore. At least my new boots are waterproof and have good traction. And not having to drive and scrape ice and snow off a car is nice.

Also, Fuck You, Penguin is awesome!

ION, people in Texas have such weird sayings. A client just said, "I feel fine as frog's hair."

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

My heart just ached for the international banker who, in order to maintain his permanant US residency of 35 years, has to actually be in the US ever six months.
