Aww, yay! One of my happiest childhood memories is the Carter inaugural, when they walked the parade route and (esp. in a pre-homeland security era) they were suddenly *right there* after everyone up on the stand was a bunch of tiny ants all day.

I was getting all teary eyed watching our First Lady switching hands to wave and instinctively grabbing her husbands hand with whatever hand she had free. You can't fake the obvious affection between them.
