I just realized, the recipe I made didn't have any brown sugar. Weird. Flour, sugar, baking soda, vanilla, vanilla soy yogurt, and a bit of salt. (Maybe some oil too? I can't remember, and don't feel like getting up to check.) I used the organic sugar, though, which is sort of light brown and has a bit of the brown sugar flavor.

JZ, hopefully the cut-and-paste solved it. Or maybe even the "accept all changes" that crashed your upload. But an alternate solution. Instead of using internal MS converter, print to a PDF. Print just one page first to make sure that solves the problem then the whole thing.
Skippity-sigh in order to post that, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is Steph L's birthday.
Happy birthday, Teppy! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!
Happy Birthday, Teppy!
I'd describe it as a toffee bar. The recipe I use has more brown sugar than flour in it. So rich and good.
Yep, that's a pretty apt description. Traditionally, they get their primary flavor from brown sugar with a texture that's akin to a brownie.
And now I want one. For breakfast. This is bad.
To me, blondies are like toll house cookies without the chocolate chips (or sometimes with them) in bar form. They have the same vanilla-brown sugar flavor. I think of them as a New England thing.
Happy birthday, Steph!
I, also, feel like blondies are a pretty common and non-confusing food item.
So, the "benefit" of not sleeping well is remembering more dreams! In this morning's edition, I was hanging out with a friend and wandered across a goth softball game (it was very leisurely) that Jilli was playing in, and so was my (not at all goth) boss! Random. I will stop talking about dreams soon because I realize they're just boring and/or weird for people who weren't in them.
I think I've told this story before, but growing up we always called blondies "Baptist Brownies" because the recipe we used came from a Baptist Church cookbook.
MAC WENT TO SLEEP BY HIMSELF LAST NIGHT!!!!
After bedtime story, he used his ipod and allowed me to leave the room. I am not at all sure I can explain how huge this is. And he may revert again, but the EFFORT, especially coming off the high anxiety month we have had. HUGE!
Heh. It has all sorts of good healthy things in it... why not? (Blondies for breakfast.)
