Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I found a chipmunk tail next to the food bowls once. The tail-less chipmunk was trapped behind a piece of furniture. I had to help/encourage it's escape.

I'm making very, very slow progress on packing for my summer gig. Laundry is started but I don't even have my class/office/drafting stuff sorted yet.

When are you leaving, Aurelia?

Wednesday. But I have to work tomorrow. Today's the day for packing.

Ugh.

Have a great summer though!

Thanks! It should be interesting. I'm showing up a couple of days late (classes start tomorrow) and we have more students than drafting tables. Woohoo!

Is Tino doing the planning?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I found a chipmunk tail next to the food bowls once.

When we were going door-to-door in our neighborhood passing out energy-efficient lightbulbs for people's front porches (part of the community council's outreach program), on one house's front steps we found the head of a rat. No body. Just a head.

Like it was left there as a warning to the other rats, or something.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Was it on a tiny little pike?

That would have been perfect. Sadly, no -- it was just sort of lying there, all Godfather-horse-head-like.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm tempted to take up cross-stitch just so I can make this: Cross-Stitch him off, Keyboard Cat
