Also, you can tell it's not gonna have a happy ending when the main guy's all bumpy.

Our wings are not tired.

It's an author and the young woman she chooses as her biographer. Wasn't it fun, Jesse? So gothy and spooky and twisted.

It was awesome. I had picked up the book off the table at the bookstore because the jacket description sounded good, and they didn't have the book I was looking for. Rarely do I luck out so.

Chilly here. 60 at the moment. It's delicious.

brillig

I spent today in the clouds. A friend came by, and we drove up to the shooting range on the bench above town. Very pleasant loud noises. We only got in twenty minutes of shooting before the range closed, but instead of taking the road back down into the valley, we headed up into the mountains. A lovely grey, rainy day, the last we're likely to see until September, as the temperatures are supposed to quickly get back to average, which is upper 80s headed for the 90s and farther.

We got up to near the top of one of the lower ridges, where it's green and the aspens are everywhere, and pulled over to have a small picnic. It was gloriously quiet and smelled wonderful. Then the clouds crept up the field and across the road, between us and the trees. They drifted in and out for awhile, then we watched the tops of the trees fairly quickly disappearing into the grey fluff, and the rain started. Coming down the mountain on a dirt road in serious rain with the clouds all around was . . . interesting.

Wonderful day.

Because books.

I'm halfway through, like I said, and I'm loving it.

We should *really* see each other this summer while you're up here. For real, this time.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Art Crawl!!!

Harper's Island: Really good this week. How many episodes do we have left? I was happy both that Abbey's dad wasn't the killer and that we finally saw CKR. I'm very, very worried about Cal. I don't want him to be dead.

Dear god, Jess, you have a little boy!

In a 180, I'm afraid I may have lost a coworker. A couple of statuses on fb that indicate he might not be with us any longer, in a permanent sense. None spelling it out. Jesus.

Art Crawl!!!

No way. And what an odd and elliptical way to discover this.
