Angel: You know, I killed my actual dad. It was one of the first things I did when I became a vampire. Wesley: I hardly see how that's the same situation. Angel: Yeah. I didn't really think that one through.

Great. Haven't been checking my phone. Roommate texted to tell me that the basement was flooded and we don't have power. I hope the power isn't out too long or I'll have to throw out most of what's in the refrigerator when I get back. Joy.

I'm off to Union Station.

Uhg, shrift.

I'm on hold with Verizon. I want to take some services off my account. This should be fun...

Well, it took nearly half an hour, but it was easy. Amazing!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Out of lack of anything else to do, I am baking blondies. They were supposed to be raspberry blondies, but then I noticed mold on the raspberry jam when I opened the jar, and I didn't have any other kind of jam, so they're just regular blondies.

Mac was asking if his grandparents still worked, so I was explaining retirement. He wanted to know what happened if you did not save enough money. I said sometimes children would help their parents. Then I aske if he would let me live with him I needed to. "Too bad, so sad, I will want to hang out with my friends." He said.

More mac wisdom, he will want his friends to hang out at our house even when he is older. And as for staying out late by himself, he assures me he will be home by "7 or 7:20" when he is "15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20".

I decide not to ask why the hell he thinks he will be living with me at 20.

My plans for the weekend include a day at school tomorrow, working more on the website project, and sobbing softly and long that I'm not in Seattle.
