Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Punishingly Intricate

Also, if you want to try whole wheat pasta, the TJ's brand is by far the best I've tried.

Oh yeah! I just finished a big bowl of it (w/ sauteed zucchini, grape tomatoes, pinenuts, tarragon, some white wine, bluecheese, parm, & pancetta! YUM!)

Weekend: tonight boyfriend meeting me down at work for dinner at a restaurant I love and then maybe fancy drink at bar we love. Saturday...not sure. I have to get a new bra though so I should probably go to the mall. Then babysitting twins in the evening. Sunday yoga then working. How much working I don't know because my boss won't make a decision about something. He means well but it's super irritating to me right now and I can't figure out how to tell him politely to PLEASE DECIDE so I can know how my day will go Sunday.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

msbelle--there was an interview on NPR this morning between a man and his adopted son which made me think of you. [link]

He is a single dad and the kid had been bounced around a lot of foster care. Definitely had some of the same issues you are dealing with.

yeah, a lot of that sounds familiar.

My plan to take next week off has been twarted. boss' trip was moved another week. I guess one more week won't make that much of a difference.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Yikes!

A hawk flew into a restaurant and landed on a guy's plate!!!

Hawks like jerk chicken, it seems.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I don't think the Obama Administration asked for passwords, did they?

Hey, the restaurant's name is Birdie's. It's like writing "Welcome Angelus" on your doormat.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Happy birthday, Plei!

Happy for them (there were plenty of tears though), sad for me.

Ah, that makes sense. Yeah, I can see it would be hard to get so attached and then watch them move on. Franny's teacher was openly tearing up today.
