Wesley: Illyria can be...difficult. Testing her might be hard without getting someone seriously hurt. Angel: We'll make Spike do it. Wesley: Good.

How bad do you suppose the traffic will be at 3:00 on Lake Shore Drive or 90/94?

Friday afternoon, with rain? Hor.ren.dous. Rush hour starts at about 1:00 on Fridays, so it'll be in full swing by 3:00.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Today I am rushing home from work and cleaning like a mofo, as my MiL and her BFF are staying for the weekend. My MiL is a VERY clean person. A famous family story about her--she was staying with my SiL to recover from major spinal fusion surgery. She wasn't supposed to lift or carry anything. SiL came home to find her standing on a stepladder on the dining room table, dusting the blades of the ceiling fan.

It's an excuse to do a real spring cleaning, so I don't honestly mind that much. DH is doing the kitchen and I am doing the rest of the house. Tomorrow morning we do the yard.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

That's what I was afraid of.

Gah. I should call and warn her. If she was more familiar with the city I'd tell her to come to Evanston first and take public transit down to the museum. Hmmm... maybe I'll suggest that anyway.

Happy birthday, Plei!

I'm going to visit my family this weekend. While I'm there, I plan to sleep a lot, play with my niece, see my sister's new house, and attend at least one backyard barbecue.

Happy Birthday Plei!

I wish I was at the f2f, but ah well!

My plans this weekend involve helping my BFF to make a Wizard of Oz bedroom set for her daughter. Hopefully.

my drivers license was denied due to medical reasons, despite my filling out the required form back in March and having confirmed with my doctor's office that they did indeed fax in the form back then.

This sucks, connie.

I think my brain is permanently warped. The first thing that came to mind was animatronic Munchkins and flying monkeys popping out of the closet in the middle of the night....

The flying monkeys scared the shit out of me as a little kid. Because you can't outrun them....

Happy birthday wishes, Plei1

I'm confused Kat, why is that sad?

Sad because it's always sad. The only kids I'm really connected to at this school are the seniors so when they go, I feel all disconnected. Happy for them (there were plenty of tears though), sad for me.

I did, however, get back in touch with my thesis advisor. She wants me to register for the fall so that I can finish my degree. Unfortunately I've lost interest in my previous project and I think I want to change and focus instead on ART and it's varying impact on families.

Me and my talk of assisted reproductive technologies killed the thread.

Kat, I thought you meant art and were capitalizing it for emphasis. Oops! That makes much more sense.
