But? There's always a but. When this is over, can we have a big 'but' moratorium?

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

This story is so...issue-laden. And it's pissing me off.

Punchy punchy punchy!

I've wondered how the trans issue would come into play with wedding licenses, whether someone would propose checking genders. But it doesn't sound like that article is going to further my understanding of the issue.

“Not dead yet!”

I think we should have an official Buffista commandment:Thou shalt not read the comments section of any article for the preservation of one's sanity and blood pressure.

Wrod, wrod, wrod. I promise myself all the time that I won't read the comments on the local news sites, but they keep sucking me back in. However, the comments on the Salt Lake Tribune reassure me that there are sane, progressive people in my state. Along with the whackamole loony-tunes.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wow -- the story itself is so sweet, and the article is just stab-inducing. And by "sweet," don't get me wrong -- I don't really think it's a good idea for any homeless teenagers to run off and get married, but I can appreciate the romantic impulse.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

my legs are tired and a wee sore, well no wonder, I just mapped out my walking over the weekend on Gmap pedometer, over 2 miles on Sat (most in Central Park), and over 3 yesterday (E and I walked to Target). Probably a sign that I should keep it up and do a few laps in Bryant Park for lunch.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am so fucked. My router went tits up, and I'm having to pay 29$ to get it fixed. They're going to find out I loaded DD-WRT on it, and get mad.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ack, ita! Nothing you can do about it now, though.

I do understand the scary, but I suspect it will all work out fine.

I hope so. I'm having serious offerer's remorse at the moment, but I do think it's a good thing to do. I think mostly the stressor is that I was getting ready to have my good friends in my space for the Grand Canyon trip today, but now I have three sets of people putatively in my space (dogsitter who will sleep over tonight, friends, new people who are moving in) and feel like I need to get ready for them all. Which is why I needed to breathe and am on here for a moment, but just a moment.

I still need to finish cleaning the bathrooms & the bedrooms. But I think we'll make it as they (friends & dogsitter) won't be here until noon, and the new people will come by for the key on Wednesday but won't move in until Sunday after we're gone.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh, I forgot what else I was going to post: Bigfoot. Totally real, peoples. At least that's the going opinion in these parts, partially because it's part of the local Apache cultural belief set. There was just a film done by someone pseudo local about how they really are in these mountains. Were supposed to have found a body and all.

It was probably just Adam from Northern Exposure.

Which reminds me, yay, Alaska!

Well, it's definitely a good thing to do for them, and I hope it's good for you as well!
