'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Hee! I love UglyOverload -- the blogger has a great sensibility about the aesthetics of "ugly" and the wonder of the natural world. Plus, he agrees with me that vulture chicks are cute.

Every once in a while, CuteOverload and UglyOverload manage to accidentally intersect on a picture, which I think is too cool for words.

“Not dead yet!”

ION, I just ripped my last contact, and was so furious that I trimmed my own hair.

Honey... the connection? Not such a good one.

Speaking of contacts, I've been trying them out again, since Bausch and Lomb has new multifocals. Left eye is going okay, right eye feels odd.

Also ordered new glasses-- They're matte bronze with cream colored arms. I hope I still like them when I pick them up.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

My hair is disgusting and not growing out fast enough to fix. Although I did hack off the mullet that was forming two minutes before I had to leave for work. Came out pretty good considering.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I need to put a sign on my mirror that says "do not cut your own hair".

Mum sent me to school with the hack job I did in fifth grade as a lesson to never do that again. The lesson stuck for about a decade.

Because books.

I need to put a sign on my mirror that says "do not cut your own hair".

Apparently, so do I. Uh.

And my glasses are SO old. Where's the fucking LASIK fairy, already?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I need to hurry up and cut it. It's long and blonde and the length is irritating me. but I don't want the clippers near my head right now. Feels dangerous.

Barb, thanks. My sister will feel validated.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Um... is a bullet-proof corset a good idea?

Tactical Corsets are high-fashion high-function clothes for empowered women.

For too long, women have had to compromise practicality for beauty. Men got pants with cargo pockets and built-in knee pads, women got clothes whose only built-in feature was cuteness. But why should men get all the high-speed low-drag tactical toys?

Tactical gear is no longer an all boys club. Tactical Corsets bring female operators MILSPEC features like MOLLE modular pouch attachment webbing and self-adjustable quick-release buckles in a load-bearing carrier designed to support the female form. And we're just getting started.

Tactical Corsets are now available for custom order. More details on styles, sizing, materials and more is coming soon.

Those corsets look like a big joke.

Huh. When I hit tab from the posting box in Safari it does not go to the Post message button. That is a bad thing.
