I hate to break it to you, oh impotent one, but you're not the big bad anymore, you're not even the kind of naughty.

Whew--I forgot to pay for my car insurance renewal and it ended up lapsing on Wednesday, but I just re-upped, so I'm set if I get in an accident on the way home.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Oh God, I'm cracking up over here.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

This weekend:

Tonight: go be a background extra in an indie vampire film. (Hee! Oh, I'm so looking forward to this.)

Tomorrow: attend two different bbqs, then scoot over to the StuntHusband's place to get ready for the Everyday Is Halloween costume night at Ye Olde Gothy Club. Time for fangs and fake blood!

Sunday: call the parents, and then try not to freak out about my interview that night on SuicideGirls.com radio.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Weekend:

  • Tonight we see Gunga Din at the Samuel Goldwyn theater (part of the films of 39 series, which we've been loving).
  • Saturday we see our pals Wendy & Lisa (& Susannah and Cole, too!) perform
  • Sunday we probably hang with the MiL

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I really need to have my performance eval soon, because it seems the more time that passes, the more my Director informs me of the new negative comments the interim ED has for me. The latest one is from way back at Christmas when the Holiday House Tour was being set up and she was a committee member then. I was busy decorating the house pretty much by my lonesome as well as making 50 some odd wreaths for sale and for the big donors as well as teaching four workshops. Her complaint is that I was "standing around while she set up the tables for the HHT by herself." *cough* She wasn't even a colleague then. And at no point before Christmas was I not busy, so I guess the lesson is that whatever I'm doing isn't nearly as pressing as what a non-coworker is doing (and honey, I've been abandoned cleaning up after your Bridge Parties plenty of times).

This makes me so mad, and I've half a mind to be completely honest with her. But she's going away soon (we interviewed the final two candidates for ED last night), so should I even bother? Should I just take the punch, acknowledge her complaint, and claim intentions of doing better next time? Basically smile and nod?

(There is a strange mentality of "You are at fault for not helping us, even though we didn't ask, and you are also at fault for not helping us when we declined your offer of help" with her and her cronies).

“Not dead yet!”

ugh. I really don't want to go to family dinner tonight. A massive migraine has overtaken the back of my head and my stomach's upset. Whee. Big fun.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

This is a very buffista birthday weekend:
Tonight I'm going shopping with Juliana because I have nothing to wear for prom
Saturday I'm doing a Clean Sweep of JZ and Hec's place--clutterers beware!--and then I have dinner and a birthday party to attend
And Sunday is javachik's big day

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I have loads of laundry to do, need to pot up the baby's tears I dug up from the greenhouse floor before they dry out, clean up the trash strewn across the driveway from a drive-by racooning, make a hole in the living room to fit the new loveseat, pick up said loveseat, work a ten hour event tomorrow, won't get home 'til midnight, go back to work on Sunday to work another event, paint, replant the marigolds that were washed out of the steep bed outside the apartment, and about a dozen other things that have gone undone all week long.

Maybe a nap first...
