“Not dead yet!”

It's a million and forty-seven degrees down here. *gah*

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The temperatures in NYC have been just fine this week - low 70's all around. But the rain and the storms and the humidity and HOLY LIVING FUCK MY SINUSES CANNOT TAKE IT ANYMORE.

Urgh, it sounds miserable, Jessica. I don't have any allergies or sinus issues to speak of, but the people around me who do say the tree sex has been making them especially miserable down here.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Muggy and allergy-inspiring here too. I swear, it gets worse every year.

Art Crawl!!!

So far, fair and clear here. I'm enjoying the good side of summer hours this morning: slept in 'til 8:30. The cats resigned themselves and just settled in around me so that at the first sign of movement they could dash into the kitchen to be fed. (The joy of having older cats.)

Because books.

The pollen up here has been legendary this spring.

But I think all the mid-Atlantic rain is finally moving up this way.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Amy, I hate to wish it on you, but I just wish it would go away. It's been so miserable and damp for ... more than a week? We've had a few days of sunshine, but things didn't really dry out, so the humidity has been horrible. Even when it's not actually hot, it's miserable. bleah

Yeah, my parents are near Philly, and she was just saying how very over the weather she is.

I don't care if we get some rain, but I would prefer it didn't arrive tomorrow -- Ben has a doubleheader.

I don't care where the rain goes as long as it's gone by Sunday morning. I don't want my baby's birthday rained out!

Aw, two! Wow, that was a quick two years.
