I meant to mention - we're having a fuss in DC about same-sex marriages. The DC Council wants the city to recognize such marriages performed in other states (while not allowing them to take place in DC). Needless to say, the shit hit the fan - there have been protests, a coalition of religious people opposing it. Well, a week or so ago there was a press conference by a group of ministers, etc., who support DC recognizing same-sex marriages. When I saw the TV coverage there, right up front, was the rector of my church. yay!
