Handsome brooding vampire guy has to swoop in all sensitive mouth and overhanging forehead. How 'bout leaving some scraps for the homely-looking fellows who don't turn evil when they get some?

Texas town says goodbye to 'hello'

The guy who started all that was the subject of a segment on The Daily Show years and years ago. Possibly even while Craig Kilborn was still hosting.

Yes, I was an early Daily Show adopter. I watched the first episodes, before they had a studio audience, and immediately thought they needed one in there. It wasn't too long before they realized the same thing.

Coding and Sleeping

How lovely, Gudanov. How many kinds of roses do you have there?

I don't know for sure, probably around 25. My wife would know better since it's mostly her thing. Basically I help when big holes are needed or heavy bags of stuff need to be toted around.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, us too, Sean. Those were fun days, though, because you could tell when material was particularly good as it cracked up the techies.

Those are lovely, Gud. We thought we weren't ready for roses yet, but we got a little hybrid tea rose as a thank you gift from one of our schools. So I guess we're going for it, ready or not. I also need to plant trees today. It got delayed because of my fall, but today I'm feeling mostly better. Will give it a try, anyway.

I briefly missed Five Questions (my favorite part of the show), and was upset that Kilborn left, but Stewart quickly converted me.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I don't know for sure, probably around 25.

Wow! Lovely.

In my childhood, we always had extra waffles that we froze.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Yeah, I enjoyed Five Questions too. Oh, Kilbie.
