"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I read this as 'cocksuckin' slurpy slope.'

Same dif. I will now be mentally substituting "slurpy slope" whenever anybody refers to the "slippery slope."

The cocksuckin' will be implicit.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Polter-Cow - and that's a very American-centric list for me. Leaving it on shuffle, I'm now getting more of my usual British-centric playlist: Keane, Magic Numbers, The Kooks, Athlete, Kirsty McColl (ah, Kirsty McColl) et al...

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I have three of those as well! Kirsty McColl courtesy of Kristin.

So. Cool. From 'Fairytale of New York' to 'In These Shoes?' - just fantastic.

I'm surprised Tori Amos hasn't turned up yet on my iTunes. I'm really miffed that she's doing two tour dates in the UK and I can't go 'cause I'll be in Spain at the time.

I love Keane and The Kooks. The Kooks remind me of Herman's Hermits.

Heh. That's true.

I saw them live in a teeny little venue in Camden, back when they were still supporting obscure bands (in this case, my brother-in-law's band Morning Runner). Also back when I could still climb down into dark basement venues. They were ace.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

If that were somewhat bigger, it could hold several cats....

Minority - Green Day.

That's on one of my playlists, not this one though.

"Blister in the Sun" Violent Femmes - "Never Had No One Ever" The Smiths

I remember those from high school. I don't actually have much stuff I listened to in high school. I have The Clash and Modern English, but I can't think of much else. I have 70s and 60s stuff, but it was stuff I didn't listen to back then.
