Girl Talk: In Step (thinking about it, this would be great)
Oh my god, it really & truly would!
Kat, you can check it out here: [link]
I'm going to go try the 5 songs on shuffle thing again. I started to do it at work earlier and determined that my iPod was trying to kill me (REM's Sweetness Follows was the cheeriest selection). Maybe it'll work out less ominously at home.
The shuffle thing:
"Look Down," Les Miserables
"Don't Speak," No Doubt
"Big Rock Candy Mountain," Harry McClintock
"Do Something," Macy Gray
"Hackensack," Fountains of Wayne
I have decided to call my new shuffle Toph, for she is a tiny green rock machine. Oh yeah.
I have decided to call my new shuffle Toph, for she is a tiny green rock machine. Oh yeah.
Fuck yeah. Toph Rocks! Also she Metals.
Okay, so:
Stars - The Weepies
Cold Dark World - Weezer
Don't You Need - Melissa Etheridge
Strange Things Happen - Billy Bragg
Happiness Hotel - The Muppets
Phew. Saved by the Muppets!
In Step is almost perfect! the first bits are jarring and if I could start 24 counts later that would be ideal.
I have the first chunk choreographed (for a hysterical image, imagine me in my pink JPL sweats with a pink Boise State shirt on in my living room working this out) to the end of Roy Orbison sample. I think I'm going to assign other parts for the girls to try to choreograph. And we'll work it over the summer. Mebbe?
When isn't Girl Talk a great suggestion. It works for all occasions.
We literally had the microwave meltdown last night -- well, at least the plastic lining the top of the chamber. I put in some popcorn for 4:45, just as usually do, but it more than charred -- smoke all over, just enough to make the smoke detector start up when I opened the oven door.
I guess I'll be buying a new microwave today.
Shuffling:
Neighborhood #7 (Kettles) - Arcade Fire
Pulling on a Line - Great Lake Swimmers
Everything is Moving - Great Lake Swimmers
Dang - Buck 65
Heart - Stars
It's an all-Canadian shuffle list!
Yikes!
Car Slams Into CTA Train After Expressway Accident (VIDEO)
CHICAGO (AP) -- Service on the Chicago Transit Authority's Blue Line was disrupted early Thursday when an auto involved in an accident on the adjacent Eisenhower Expressway jumped a retaining wall and landed on the tracks, where it was hit by a train.
According to CTA spokeswoman Kimberly Myles, seven of the train's 30 passengers complained of minor injuries and were taken to area hospitals.
Authorities said the driver of the auto got out before it was hit. However, two people in another vehicle involved in the expressway accident were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford said the expressway accident involved three autos, with one of them hurtling the barrier between the tracks and expressway. The auto became wedged under the front car of the train.
Service along the Blue Line on Chicago's West Side was shut down for more than three hours
